Shows of 2015

I should have posted this at the very beginning of the year but I kept postponing but its just February so it still early days .
For any one that knows me really well then you know that I love TV maybe a little too much infact, being TV expert I am here to give my opinion on the shows I think you should watch out for in 2015.
1 Jane the virgin : This show started late 2014. Its about a virgin who gets pregnant because she was accidentally inseminated, it is based on a Venezuelan telenovela now I know this might scare some people off but its so well adapted you won’t even notice and it also pokes fun at the fact. It airs on Mondays at 9 on the cw ( for our american readers)
2 Empire: I would describe as a modern day dynasty but with a black cast. The show  is about a music mogul Lucius Lyon who finds out he is dying and decides to pick his heir and the drama that ensues. My favourite character on this show is cookie(Lucius’s ex wife) she gives me so much life. It airs Wednesday on fox at 9
3 Galavant : I haven’t actually what this show but it comes highly recommended by my bestie ( hi tomi) she described it to me as glee but set in medieval times. She is usually right about these things so you should check it out. It airs on Sundays at 8 on Abc.
There are some other shows which started in 2014 that don’t have much following but are super awesome and you should check out they are
1 power
2 silicon valley
3 tyrant
4 how to get away with murder ( this already has a huge following but if you haven’t seen it you should).

My natural hair journey

About 2 years ago when I moved to accra because I didn’t like any of the hairdressers around me I would always wait until I went to Nigeria for the holidays to retouch  my hair .
Sometime in august of 2013 someone talked to me about going natural and how since I only relaxed my hair every six months it would be easy for me to transition instead of doing the big chop and so that is what I did.
For the last 2 years all I have done is just braid my hair or put a weave in I have never really allowed it breathe and such my hair had become really damaged, so in early January when I took out my braids I promised my self I would try for 30 days just allow my hair to be and try and treat it better .
Nobody told me it would be this hard ! Its so much work , washing , conditioning and styling I am on day 14 and I am tired already. Any one that has any suggestions please leave a comment it will be greatly appreciated

Today my hair looks almost normal hence the big smile .

Style star of the month

I am a huge fashion lover and as such fashion is going to be a huge part of this blog. So allow me to introduce to a new feature on the blog called style star.
Every month I am going to pick somebody whose style I admire and do a story on them .
This month’s style star is the beautiful Ayodele Ige who also happens to be my cousin and this what she has to say about her style.

“Hey everyone my name is Ayodele Ige, I’m 20 years old and I love to dress up, even if I’m just staying at home. I’d describe my style as simple but chic. I love wearing black and neutral colours and have an obsession with fitted trousers. I can be quite girly from time to time as I wear mini dresses quite often. This blog is great! Keep visiting the page to see all the great things Anu has to share with you all 🙂 xx”
